Combine two elements which usually lacks a sense of belonging. I found it very interesting to give the most common trees in Sweden an own personal flag. Most of the colors and patterns of the flags is inspired by the appearance of the species, the biggest difference between them and I wanted to promote attributes like berries, color of the wood, needles, leaf types and seeds. But also how they grow, how their leafs fall and how their branches appear.
